Shiraz Central Hospital's laboratory, equipped with advanced facilities and experienced staff, offers extensive services in various diagnostic and pathological tests. The specialized sections include:
Blood Bank: Supplies blood needed for patients, including surgical operations.
Biochemistry: Precise measurement of various body compounds like glucose, cholesterol, urea, creatinine, sodium, potassium, etc., indicating conditions such as diabetes, kidney diseases, and heart issues.
Hematology: Provides services related to blood cell tests (red blood cells, white blood cells, and platelets) and coagulation tests, including CBC and HB tests, diagnosing blood infections, anemia, and blood cancer.
Hormones: Conducts tests to examine hormonal issues like thyroid problems and specific tumor markers.
Microbiology: Analyzes bacteria, viruses, etc., present in the body through blood, urine, and mucus cultures to diagnose infections and determine suitable antibiotics for treatment.
