Preparation:

The night before the lithotripsy procedure, have a light dinner and afterwards, drink a glass of castor oil or take four Buscopan tablets within two hours.
Patients must fast for at least 6 hours before lithotripsy. On the morning of the procedure, avoid consuming tea and breakfast (including biscuits).
Individuals using blood thinners such as aspirin, warfarin, Plavix, Dipridamole, Asacol, etc., should discontinue use 5 days prior to the lithotripsy under the guidance of their physician.
Notify the lithotripsy department if you have specific conditions such as heart disease, asthma, high blood pressure, diabetes, hemophilia, thalassemia, or any other medical conditions.
If you take medications for blood pressure, heart, thyroid, blood sugar, etc., follow your regular schedule and take them with a little water except for blood thinners.
Pregnant women should inform the lithotripsy department of their condition.
Remove dentures prior to the lithotripsy procedure.
Patients with kidney stones should bring X-rays (black and white) from the past two or three days.
Patients with kidney and bladder stones should not urinate prior to the procedure.
Post-Discharge Instructions:

Drink plenty of fluids such as water, weak tea, and other beverages based on the patient's diet for several days following the lithotripsy.
Engage in moderate physical activity as per the patient's capacity.
In case of pain, use a pain reliever every 8 hours.
If you experience fever, shivering, abnormal bleeding, severe pain not relieved by a painkiller, or inability to urinate, contact your treating physician or the hospital emergency department.
